한국인도학회 제50차 정기학술대회 안내 6/12(토) KSIS Regular Conference June 12th

Dear Members of KSIS,

I wish you all peace throughout this season of dense greenery.

The Korean Society for Indian Studies, Inc. is to hold its 50th Regular Conference in collaboration with the HK+ Project, Institute of Indian Studies, HUFS. In the current situation, where Covid-19 has become a part of all our daily lives, the conference is to be held online. We hope that everything comes back to normalcy as soon as possible and we are able to exchange warm greetings and handshakes with the members at the next conference.

At this conference, we have prepared presentations and comments that cover various themes and topics. Above all, we look forward to enriching our thoughts and perceptions with the research regarding Indian religions and philosophies like Bhaktism and the theory of recognition in Shaivism. On the other hand, the study on Nepal’s Kumari custom appeals to our interests concerning heterogeneous cultures and lifestyles. Moreover, we assure you research on India’s Indo-Pacific Strategy shall bring clarity to our global understanding and vision. We thank the scholars and members who have prepared for the same and contributed as presenters and discussants to make this conference a meaningful one.

Although it is a regret that we won’t be able to have an intimate encounter since it is an online conference, we are grateful to be able to participate in the same without having any restrictions of distance. We hope that this conference becomes a pleasant forum of sharing and communicating with utmost participation by all of you, who welcome the development of research on India and South Asia.
