모시는 글

인도철학회와 한국인도학회 그리고 한국외대 인도연구소의 공동주최로 학술대회를 개최하고자 합니다.

이번 학술대회는 ‘현대 인도사회의 제 문제와 종교의 역할’이라는 주제를 통해 힌두주의를 표방하는 현 인도 중앙정부의 개혁개방 정책 하에 고도의 경제성장과 더불어 급속히 변화하는 인도사회와 종교의 역할을 이해하기 위해 준비되었습니다.

인도라는 공통된 연구의 장을 바탕으로 함께 학문의 길을 걸어가는 인도철학회와 한국인도학회가 어울려 펼치는 학술의 마당에 인도철학과 인도학에 관심을 가지신 모든 분들이 참석하시어 연구자 분들을 격려해 주시고, 학술의 즐거움을 함께 나누시기 바랍니다.

귀한 논문의 발표를 맡아주신 분들과 사회와 토론을 맡아 주신 분들, 학술대회를 위해 애쓰신 인도철학회와 한국인도학회의 임원님들과 회원님들께 깊이 감사드립니다.

We cordially invite you to our Special Conference, co-hosted by the Korea Society for Indian Philosophy, the Korean Society for Indian Studies, and the Institute of Indian Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

The aim of this Special Conference, titled “Issues in Contemporary Indian Society and the Role of Religion”, is to examine the role of religions in Indian society, which has been witnessing rapid economic development and thereby fundamental social changes under the new political leadership and its policies on open trade.

We hope that you attend this conference of the two Societies, the leading academic associations of Indian philosophy and Indology, to share the joy of learning and applaud scholars in our fields.

Many thanks to the presenters for their valuable contributions, as well as for the efforts of the moderators and discussants, and all the members of both Societies who have contributed to the success of this Special Conference.
