한국인도학회 제52차 정기학술대회 안내 6/11(토) KSIS Regular Conference June 11th

인도학회 회원 여러분,

사단법인 한국인도학회가 한국외국어대학교 인도연구소 HK+사업단, 동명대학교 인도문화연구소와 함께 공동주최로 제52차 정기학술대회를 개최합니다. 우리 학회는 비상한 감염병 상황으로 인해 지난 2년간 온라인 학회를 진행해 온 끝에 이제 대면으로 학술대회를 열게 되었습니다. 오랜만에 학회원 여러분을 모시고 악수와 담소도 나눌 수 있는 대회를 기쁜 마음으로 고대하고 있습니다. 

이번 학술대회는 두 세션으로 구성했습니다. 첫 세션에서는 남인도의 사회와 문화를 연구하는 국내 연구자들이 남인도의 문학, 따밀 영화, 부족민 등에 관한 연구주제들을 발표합니다. 두 번째 세션은 인도의 외교정책과 정치에 대한 이슈를 다룹니다. 이번 대회를 통해 인도의 현재와 미래를 새로운 시각으로 조망해 볼 수 있을 것으로 기대합니다. 

오랜만에 대면으로 열게 되는 학술대회의 공동개최 장소와 당일 행사를 선뜻 준비해주시는 동명대 인도문화연구소장 장재진 교수님께 감사드립니다. 귀한 논문을 발표하시는 선생님들과 사회·토론을 맡으신 선생님들께 감사드립니다. 또한 축하말씀을 전해주시는 인도문화원 소누 뜨리베디 원장님, KNN의 김병근 사장님, 향기로운 문화동행의 보혜스님, 그리고 축하공연을 준비해주신 양효련, 반현우 교수님께 깊은 사의를 표합니다. 또한 올해에도 변함없이 아낌없는 지원을 해 주신 한국외대 인도연구소 김찬완 단장님께도 감사 인사 드립니다. 그리고 어려운 시기에 학회를 위해 애쓰시는 임원선생님들께 학회원님 모두를 대신하여 특별히 고마운 마음을 전합니다. 인도학에 관심 있는 모든 분들이 꼭 참석하시어 공부의 즐거움을 함께 나누시기 바랍니다.

Dear members of the Korean Society for Indian Studies,

The Korean Society for Indian Studies will hold the 52nd regular academic conference along with Institute of Indian Studies HK+Project, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Indian Culture Research Institute, Tongmyong University. The conference this year will be a face-to-face event after having virtual conferences for two years amid the Covid-19 pandemic. We are very much pleased to have an opportunity to bring together members of the society after a long break. 

The conference consists of two sessions. The first session will have presentations by researchers of South Indian culture on literature, Tamil films, and tribes of South India. The second session will deal with India’s diplomatic policies and politics. This conference is expected to shed a new light on the present and future of India.  

I would like to extend my thanks to Prof. Jae-Jin Jang, Director of Indian Culture Research Institute, Tongmyong University who provided a venue and prepared many things for the conference. I also thank speakers, moderators, and discussants. I wish to express my appreciation to Dr. Sonu Trivedi, Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Mr. Byung-Geun Kim, former President of KNN, and Ven. Bo-Hye, Chairperson of FCAF for their congratulatory remarks, and Ms. Hyo-Ryun Yang and Prof. Hyun-Woo Ban for the performances. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Chan-Wahn Kim, Director of Institute of Indian Studies HK+Project, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, for his unstinting support. I would like to extend my special thanks to executive members of the society who have run the society at this difficult period on behalf of all members. I welcome everyone who is interested in Indian culture for the pleasure of study.
